I Need Help
You may qualify for assistance from HCH for one or more of the following reasons:
I Am Behind On Rent
Are you behind on your rent and at risk of losing your primary residence (Homeless Prevention)?
In order to qualify for our services, you must:
- Live in one of the six counties we serve, and have lived there for at least six (6) months.
- Have a Florida ID, if you are over 18 years of age; a Social Security card and/or Birth Certificate, for newborns.
- Provide proof of income or self-certification of income.
- Have a three (3) days notice to vacate or eviction notice from your landlord, with whom you have an established lease; or a court-ordered eviction notice.
Facing Homelessness
Are you currently homeless and sleeping in areas not meant for human habitation, or sharing your household with someone else (Rapid Re-Housing)?
In order to qualify for our services, you must:
- Live in one of the six counties we serve, and have lived there for at least six (6) months.
- Have a Florida ID, if you are over 18 years of age; a Social Security card and/or Birth Certificate, for newborns.
- Provide proof of income or self-certification of income.
- Find an affordable place to live with a 1-year lease.
I Am A Veteran
Are you a veteran? Are you homeless? Are you at risk of losing your primary residence?
In order to qualify for our services, you must:
- Live in one of the six counties we serve, and have lived there for at least six (6) months.
- Call 988, the VA Crisis Line, for additional information.
